Launch Event a Success

The reception held as a part of this year’s Banff Sessions was well attended, with representatives from a number of governmental and client groups, architectural firms, academics and critics alike. Vivian Manasc, incoming national RAIC President was on hand to introduce the chapter and its goals. Dave Cheetham, the inaugural Chairperson of the Alberta Chapter introduced the executive committee and a presentation was made to Peter Poole of Arctos & Bird in appreciation for hosting the event at Old Crag Cabin. As one of the oldest structures in Banff National Park, Old Crag Cabin has been restored and integrated into the Bison Courtyard at Bear Street, a mixed use development designed by William McDonough + Partners.
