The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is an award winning professionally curated museum without walls devoted to grassroots cultural heritage and has been named the “top event in the USA”.
The festival presents an opportunity for people to learn about Alberta’s architectural excellence, history, heritage, culture and diversity first hand from Albertans who have dedicated their lives to celebrating, promoting and preserving it under the spotlight of US National and international Media coverage that will reach 50 million people including policy makers, dignitaries and visitors from all works of life.
The RAIC Alberta Chapter will be exhibiting various aspects of Alberta Architecture & design at the Festival. It is against this backdrop that we invite
MEMBERS (WITH PROJECTS LISTED ON THE CHRONICLE OF SIGNIFICANT ALBERTA ARCHITECTURE AND / OR LEED CERTIFIED PROJECT WITH A MINIMUM OF SILVER RATING) THAT ARE INTERESTED IN HAVING THEIR PROJECTS DISPLAYED IN WASHINGTON DC TO SEND 20″X20″ OR 18″X 24″ POSTER SIZE PROJECT DISPLAY BOARD TO THE RAIC SMITHSONIAN PROJECT COORDINATOR (SAMUEL OBOH) ON OR BEFORE THE 17TH OF MAY 2006 AT THE ADDRESS BELOW:
